“My team is outstanding for many a reason. They are eager to learn and grow. They continually support each other to be the best professionals they can be. They never get complacent and are always looking for ways to educate themselves and to constantly learn and grow their practice.
My team members each go above and beyond to make sure they are providing the best possible care to our dental family.
Our goal is to always make patients feel they are at home, secure, and respected in our care. We never lecture or guilt people about their oral health. Understanding that going to the dentist is rarely a person’s first choice when it comes to their valuable time, we strive to make sure each person leaves our chair happy and relaxed.
We are always here for you.” — Dr. Ron Sherman
I spend my days helping our patients and supporting our staff in all aspects of the office. I appreciate being able to make people feel good about coming to the dentist and helping transform people’s smiles and their lives!
I’ve worked in the dental field for more than 15 years, starting as a dental assistant and then moving to the front desk before becoming the office manager. Dr. Sherman is the best doctor ever! He is always generous with our patients, offering many treatment options and working with them to ensure the best results. He values his team and treats everyone like a family member. The First Impressions Dental Care staff all works together as a cohesive unit and we really enjoy each other’s company, as well as that of our patient family!
Outside of the office, my favorite times are spent with my spouse and daughter. I love the beach, music, and cooking.
I work with our patients on insurance matters. In addition to verifying benefits, I help patients understand their coverage and file the billing claims. My favorite part of my work is getting to know our patients and seeing each become happier with their beautiful, healthy smile!
I have worked in the dental field since 2007. Before finding my professional home and family at First Impressions Dental Care, I managed the specialty department for a large dental corporation. I’m glad to now be part of a supportive, close-knit team. It all starts with the atmosphere Dr. Sherman creates: He is just as amazing, generous, and kind to his staff as he is to our patient family!
I am a very busy mom to a curious, joyful little boy and two doggies. They all keep me active and on my toes!
I offer patient support, including scheduling, treatment planning, and pre-authorizing treatment. A person’s smile is literally the first thing that people notice, and a great smile can change a person’s life. Transforming a person’s whole persona by improving their smile is the most rewarding part of my work!
I have a BA in speech communications from the University of Washington. I’ve worked in the dental field since 2002 and have experience in orthodontics, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Sherman is the most generous, honest, giving, and sincere person I have ever had the privilege to know and work for. He will never advise unnecessary treatment and genuinely cares about each and every patient as a person. He has brought together an amazing team at First Impressions Dental Care. Every single one of our team members is a hard-working, reliable, honest, and all-around great person. We all mesh perfectly to make a team that rocks!
When I am not at work, I enjoy my family. I spend every other weekend in Ferndale visiting my parents and sister. I am also a proud mama bear to Amanda, who’s in her early 20s, and Jake, who’s currently stationed in Virginia. I love to binge-watch Netflix, go out with friends, watch movies, travel, and hang out with Maci and Stella, my morkie-poos.
I have been in the dental field since 1996 when I graduated with my BS in dental hygiene from Eastern Washington University. I help my patients by treating periodontal disease and providing routine cleanings, tartar removal, and education on good oral hygiene. I like to focus on overall systemic health and how it can be affected by oral health.
My favorite part of my job is getting to know my patients and seeing positive improvements in their oral and systemic health. I love Dr. Ron because he is a kind, funny, caring, and generous person. He takes great care of his staff and patients with flawless dentistry and kind-hearted presence.
My family and I live in North Bend. We love being active; when we are not at a debate tournament, we try to hike or catch a hot yoga or CrossFit class. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our Maltese dog!
I specialize in treating patients with periodontal disease: getting them back to a healthier mouth and smile. I also provide routine cleanings, take X-rays, and administer anesthetic. A lot of my time with a patient is focused on education: I love teaching people about oral hygiene and encouraging them to develop better home dental care. It’s fulfilling to help my friends achieve and maintain confident, healthy smiles.
I attended Pierce College and Oregon Health Sciences University and have worked in the dental field since 1999. First Impressions Dental Care is an amazing practice and I’m proud to work here. We have a welcoming, inviting atmosphere and everyone genuinely cares for our patients like family!
Outside of work I love to hike, camp, ski, practice yoga, and stay active. Being with my family is important to me; we love to travel and explore different cultures.
I am very happy to say that I am one of Dr. Sherman’s hygienists, and I love working with him and his team. I work in a beautiful office with the nicest people and my boss is fantastic. It is a dream job.
My job entails caring for our patients’ oral health. It involves detecting and treating gum disease, screening for cavities, screening for oral cancer, administration of anesthetics, oral hygiene prevention, and education about disease. I love seeing patients and getting to know everyone. My day is like seeing old friends and catching up. It does not get any better than that.
I am originally from Eastern Washington, having grown up in the Colville area. My parents have a farm south of Kettle Falls near Lake Roosevelt. I still go over there and help my mom with the farm. My greatest joy was becoming a grandparent and watching my daughter raise her three children. I love getting together with family and friends, cooking, gardening, skiing, the outdoors, and living in the country.
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
I work in our clinic: providing patient care and support, assisting Dr. Ron with dental treatments, and offering dental hygiene education. It is fulfilling to know what I do helps people and I appreciate learning from and becoming friends with them.
I attended both Renton Technical College and Seattle Central University, and started in the dental field in 1992. First Impressions Dental Care is an incredible practice. We are all like family and appreciate how each patient is unique and wonderful. Together, we achieve beautiful smiles!

Dental Assistant and Front Desk
I wear two hats at First Impressions Dental Care. As a dental assistant, I seat and prepare patients for their visit, assist Dr. Ron with treatment, and offer patient education and support. At the front desk, I help to check patients in. My goal is making sure everyone has a quality appointment; it’s exciting to help people find their smiles!
I attended Berkshire College and have been in the dental field since 2010. It’s truly incredible to be part of this professional family: I feel like I’m working with all of my best friends! We genuinely want the best for our patients and care about their health and happiness.
My free time is spent with my husband. We love hiking: the PNW is such a beautiful place to explore! We also enjoy touring great local eateries. My husband is passionate about helping people build their dream homes. We work hard to help people in our communities.
I work closely with and under the supervision of Dr. Ron: offering patient care, assisting Dr. Ron with procedures, and providing oral hygiene education. I enjoy talking with and getting to know our patients on a personal level, and helping them develop a healthier, stronger smile.
I attended the West Coast College of Dental Assisting, and Bellevue College, and started working in the field in 2016. It’s wonderful to be part of First Impressions Dental Care; we are like one giant family, and that includes our patients!
When I’m not helping our patients and Dr. Ron, I’m usually spending time with friends and family. I live locally and love enjoying the outdoors when it’s sunny.
I provide patient care under the supervision and at the side of Dr. Ron. I assist with preparing patients for their procedures, keeping them comfortable during the process, and offering home care education and encouragement. When someone smiles and thanks me at the end of a visit for what I have done to help them, I’m thrilled!
I attended Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center and have been part of the dental field since 2003. Being part of First Impressions Dental Care is amazing.
