Around Our Town
"Around our Town" is our way of showing you how we are making a difference in our community, as people, not just as professionals. Years ago, I had the opportunity to work for a wonderful man in Issaquah, Dr. Sherman Shinn. It was while working for Dr. Shinn and seeing how he and his wife were helping others that I learned about making a difference in the world, not just "in people's mouths." Being content in life is knowing that you have made a difference, in a positive way, for others. It is about creating a legacy, your own legacy.
Every year in the month of February, Dental Health Awareness Month, Dr. Sherman donates some of his time talking to classes about why their teeth are so important and teaching them how to brush and floss. If you know Dr. Ron, you know he can be a real "ham". The kids love him, he brings them lots of treats, and the little ones leave wanting to go to the dentist.
